We are shaping the digital future with digital design

At MaibornWolff, we follow the principle of "less is more", because efficiency often lies in reduction. Our expertise and methods play a key role in ensuring that your digital projects are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also functional and user-friendly. Below you will discover how MaibornWolff uses innovative approaches and proven techniques to create the greatest possible added value for your digital projects. Be inspired and find out how targeted simplicity creates unique and effective solutions.

We offer solutions

The digital transformation is in full swing. Just let it run free? No. Technologies continue to develop and new technological possibilities are constantly emerging. As digital designers, we see ourselves as those who know the digital material and give digitalization a direction.

How we achieve our goal

We put people at the center of everything we do. Their needs, their everyday lives. We get their ideas out of their heads and turn them into digital solutions. We model from vision to ready-to-code. In close collaboration with the software developers.

This is our key

We understand our profession - digital design. Design expertise, technological know-how paired with a holistic view allow us to design digital solutions for today and tomorrow.

How we see ourselves: 30 percent digital design belongs in every project

We shape tomorrow. We provide stability. And for a foundation that supports - even the day after tomorrow. We believe in our customers' dreams and ideas. We take them up and give them shape together. We develop them into meaningful products. We question, reject and enrich. We create an environment in which it is fun to design. The digital tomorrow is approaching. We can't escape it, so we shape it. Together. We for you. We for us.
As digital designers, we are passionate about technologies that create benefits and make life easier. It drives us to turn the many ideas into a solution concept that can be implemented in software.

The Big Picture of Digital Design

A diagram that explains the workflow of a digital designer in three phases: Shaping, Exploring and Implementing.

Shaping - Exploring - Implementing: Digital Design at a glance

As digital designers, we shape our clients' projects with three horizons in mind: Shaping - Exploring - Implementing.

  • Shaping:
Forward-looking digitalization projects - as different as they may be - require a well thought-out framework as a starting point. It needs a vision, a concept, a visual design and much more to create a sustainable foundation for the actual construction of the digital product. We digital designers create this framework on the shaping horizon.
  • Exploring:
As digital designers, we work alongside our clients to mediate between idea and implementation. We scrutinize the idea, open up the problem and solution space, evaluate the project context and technical feasibility. We ensure that the technical concept of an IT product is rounded off and that a meaningful overall picture is created from the vision and resulting user stories. And in good time! Despite all the agility, inefficient loops can be avoided with the right tools and by sounding out the direction at an early stage.
  • Implementing:
On the implementation horizon, we model the technicality "ready to code". With our knowledge of the digital material and the necessary tools, we ensure that the right functions of a product are developed in good quality and using the appropriate technology. To do this, we think through and translate solutions into use cases, process models, mockups, epics, user stories and data models. Digital designers ensure that epics and user stories remain within the corridor of the product vision in the agile and fast-moving day-to-day project work or that the latter is sometimes modified.

Get to know us: A good start for digital design

Every project starts with a first step. We have various lightweight formats where we come together and explore the dimensions of your project.

Shaping Workshop

Do you want to get started with your digital project? Have you thought of everything? Pitch your project to us and we will hone it using our 7 dimensions: vision, scope, business value, stakeholders, users, tech stack and cultural mindset.

360-degree workshop

Are you already underway with your digital project and would like a professional assessment of where you stand? Where are things going well? Where are you struggling? We set the bar with tried-and-tested dimensions.

Exploration

Do you have a pain that can be solved digitally? Or do you have a specific idea for a digital product and don't yet know whether it can work? Let's explore the challenge together. In four weeks. Efficiently and with the tools of digital design.

Digital Design as Part of the Big Picture: Our Digital Projects

Every digital transformation project should include at least 30 percent digital design. That was one of the key takeaways from our company seminar. In many projects, users play a central role and serve as the starting point for our considerations.

Film off: Digital design and the big picture

Every project should have a big picture. Our video with Martina Beck, Yekaterina Krüßmann and Susanne Hofmann explains why. Our digital designers give tips on how to create a big picture and where it can be used in everyday project work.

Film off: The insights of our customers

What does it take for digital design to become an integral part of digitalization projects? First of all, a language that customers understand. A lesson learned from the first major digital design conference in Germany.
