What distinguishes IoT from IIoT?
IoT networks smart products directly at the end customer - such as household appliances or consumer electronics. IIoT, on the other hand, refers to industrial machines and production systems.
How can you network devices securely?
The most secure solutions are based on device-specific certificates (ideally stored on a Trusted Platform Module), which are used to authenticate the devices. Communication then takes place via a TLS-encrypted connection.
