MaibornWolff at the AWS Summit Germany 2025
Hello Hamburg! A look back at two days full of cloud innovation and networking
The AWS Summit Germany took place in Hamburg for the first time – and for two days, the Hanseatic city was firmly in the hands of the cloud community. MaibornWolff was right in the thick of it: with workshops, exciting encounters, and plenty of team spirit. From hands-on learning to evening boat trips – the north delivered.
AWS HouseWarming – Hands-on workshops throughout Hamburg
It all kicked off on Wednesday with the AWS HouseWarming, a learning event featuring numerous practical workshops at AWS partners across the city – including our Hamburg office. Here, Robert Hanuschke (Senior Specialist Solutions Architect AWS) and Tomas Sykora (Principal Solutions Architect AWS) led practical sessions.
Parallel to the HouseWarming, the AWS Partner Summit took place—the annual partner event preceding the official summit, which provided space for intensive networking and partnership discussions.

Direct exchange with AWS experts and peers: That's exactly what makes the workshops so valuable.
Sunset sailing: Cloud meets Elbe
The crowning glory of the first day was an evening harbor tour on the traditional barge "Tanja." With cool drinks and relaxed conversation, the crew enjoyed the breathtaking backdrop of Hamburg from the water—a perfect setting to end the evening together.

Highlight on the Community Stage – Healthcare with Impact
A real highlight was the presentation by Eileen Fürstenau, Senior Software Engineer at Ojemba. On the AWS Community Stage, she described the path to cloud-based healthcare MVP:
-
Development of a patient screening app that supports nurses and doctors and enables initial analyses to be carried out remotely
-
Specific challenges: shared mobile devices, limited network connections, and little time for questionnaires in rural West African regions
Eileen's conclusion? Not every project has to be technically sophisticated; it just has to have a real impact on people. Empower the people!

AWSome conversations, AWSome people – thank you!
After two intense, inspiring days, we would like to say thank you to AWS, our partners, and guests for the insightful discussions and exchange of experiences—whether at the summit itself or during the sunset cruise.
We are already looking forward to 2026 – we will definitely be there again!
